Vintage rugs have quickly become a go-to for just about every design project I tackle (as seen here, here, and here!) Not only are they beautiful, but I love that they come with a pre-existing patina, making them not-too-precious and perfect for high traffic areas and spaces with children. Their one of a kind nature feels inherently special. And they instantly bring a sense of soul and history into a space. I shared a post on my favourite sources for vintage rugs years ago (here!) and all of them still ring true, lately I’ve been purchasing just about all of my vintage rugs on Etsy. There are so many great shops to be found, but following are some of my favourites…

What a great resource, thank you!
Hi and thanks for sharing these sources. I’d love to know your thoughts on underpads for area rugs as I’ve heard they extend the wear of the rug in addition to making the rug extra comfy to walk on. If so, do you have any sources or recommendations? Thank you!
