My favourite part about the whole blogging thing? Hands down the community you get to develop along the way. My sweet friend Heidi recently photographed a few hair tutorials that my darling Aylin developed. Having my hair played with was the very best way to spend a cold winter morning. I’ve asked Aylin to take over today to share a few of her steps, and tips, for achieving this look on your own.
Happy 2017 my friends! I’m always so thankful for this time of the year as it’s a time to reflect and set new goals! One of the things I’ve set out to do is to bring you some more easy go-to hairstyles that you can do on your own. I love creating hairstyles that look complicated but are actually quite simple to recreate.
The ‘man bun’ can be worn several ways, during any season, and with almost any outfit. It’s one of those versatile hairstyles that can quickly get you out of even the worst of hair days. Grab the steps below
Brush
Wand or Straightener
1 Hair tie
Bobby Pins
Bumble and Bumble Hairspray “Does it All”
1) Begin by loosely curling your hair, and tying it half up into a looped bun
2) Grab a section of hair from underneath the bun and wrap it around the hair tie
3) After it’s been wrapped a couple of times (depending on thickness of hair) pin it with a bobby pin into the hair tie
4) To give it a more full look, pull the bun out just a little and spray with Bumble and Bumble hairspray
There you have it, the prettiest man bun in just a few simple steps. It’s the perfect solution for those days you just don’t know what to do with your hair. Until next time, have a great hair day! And don’t forget to check out @cabellobycarolina on Instagram for daily hair inspiration that’ll work for your everyday looks.

Thanks Jessica! It’s become my new go-to for sure
YES! I love this trend and do it often. So good.
It’s such a game-saver for my bad hair days!
I have a bob so not really enough hair to do this but it is cute.
I’ve seen variations of it on short hair and it looks adorable! It definitely doesn’t work for everyone though :)
