Sarah Konyer‘s fall wallpaper is here, and just in the nick of time. I used to love to refresh our home from top to bottom around this time each year. The evidence is here, (and many other places, too) ha! Everything down to the scent of the hand soap in our bathroom was given a full fall overhaul. At the time, I lived for every moment of it. In this season of life, however, doing so no longer brings me the same amount of joy it once did. Dare I say, these tasks almost feel like a line item on my to-do list. Which, for me, is a sign that something’s no longer working and a shift needs to be made.

These days, I prefer to make smaller but no less impactful changes around here. Things like switching up the branches on our dining table (right here!), or updating my desktop & phone’s wallpaper. I find they still help get me excited about ushering in the change of season. But with significantly less effort.
