I’m not one to typically create a New Year’s resolutions, as I prefer to better myself wherever possible throughout the year, but after being hit with another bug that knocked me out for the entirety of another holiday, I’ve decided to make one significant change this year: to really and truly take care of myself – something that wasn’t made a priority in 2015. I’m not talking about hitting the gym x number of times a week, cutting carbs, or picking up a juicer that will likely collect dust on my countertop. I’m referring to the act of dreaming big, leaving room for life’s surprises, to take the time to really listen to, and satisfy, the depths of my soul. My poor, neglected, over-worked soul. I used to be good at this. Really, I was. I used to pride myself on my work-life balance, my ability to be in the moment – and not just present – to really soak it all in. To know, and focus on, what’s truly important. And unfortunately, that was lost in 2015. But no more! Because big changes are on the horizon, and I have a feeling this blog right here will be much better for it.
Don’t get me wrong, 2015 was still wonderful for a multitude of different reasons – I made sure to spend some time while I was bedridden to list, and appreciate, them all (which was especially important, because I’m not sure I did the first time around). I’m simply looking forward to a better, more well-rounded, healthier me in 2016. I have ambitious plans for Lark & Linen going forward, but you guys are what makes this blog right here tick. So with that in mind, I’d love to know what you’d like to see more of, or differently, this year. Anything you’d like to see less of? Please let me know in the comments below! In the meantime, here are a few of my personal favourite posts from 2015.
Thank you so much for following along, and I look forward to sharing more with you in 2016!
