For me, Mother’s Day gifts aren’t simply about commemorating motherhood; they act as a way to honour the incredible women who shape each one of our lives. As someone who’s always cherished Mother’s Day (any excuse to celebrate!), I have to admit that welcoming my own daughter has infused the occasion with even more significance. Being celebrated is of course an added bonus, but more importantly than that I now have a deeper understanding of the boundless love, effort, and energy my own mother, step mother, and mother figures invested in me throughout the years. A reverence and appreciation that I never knew beforehand.
