I’m not sure if you saw my friend Jess’ mudroom reveal a few months ago (if not, you can check it out here! You can also take a peek at the plans, and all of the before photos, here, too), but a few of you eagle eyes noticed the cute jars we used for lost socks and loose change. These are two items that I insist on incorporating in some way, shape, or form into every laundry room project I take on. Not only are they adorable, but they’re super handy to boot. The best part? This version in particular was a quick and easy DIY we took on ourselves, and we’re sharing all of the details (including the free printable template) below.
Note: if you do tackle this bad boy, please share on Instagram using #LarkandLinenDIY – I’d love to take a peek at your results
Glass jars
Loose change & lost socks template
Printer
Scotch tape
Scissors
Fine point black paint marker
1) Print out the templates and trim around the text boxes so each template will fit inside the jar.
2) Place the first template inside the jar, center it text side facing out, and tape in place.
3) Use the paint marker to trace the shapes of the text on the outside of the glass jar. You may need to outline and fill in the thicker lines. Remove the template paper when you finish.
4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 on the second jar. Voila!
