I’m clearly on a bit of a mountain home kick, as evidence here and here. But when I stumbled upon this one, from Chip & Joanna Gaines (obviously!), I couldn’t help but share. It’s comfy cozy in the very best of ways, and designed perfectly for a busy family of five. I love that it feels elegantly pulled together, but completely liveable and totally useable. A marriage of form and function at its very best, something I strive for myself with each and every project I take on. Enjoy!

I love this home! It was one of my favorites that Chip and Joanna designed such attention to detail and classy yet livable.
Hey Jacquelyn – I believe this is a home that they nicknamed (as they do with all of their projects) “The Mountain Home” because it sits way up on a hill. It’s not their personal mountain home. I recognized that round nook in the kitchen – so jealous!
Awhhh it is SO beautiful.. it doesnt even seem real <3! Oh how I wish my home looked like this.

Jacquelyn, please include more great photos of Fixer-Upper’s projects. The pics that are on their website and Pinterest sites transfer too small and yours are perfect. Thanks. You should also look at The Fords projects. They are siblings from Philadelphia.. Leeanne and Steven. She’s an incredibly talented designer and Steve executes her visions. Her personal home is incredible and I’d love to see that posted on your blog.. please! They have a show on HGTV and have been renewed for a second season.. I can’t wait.
Love this space. So reflective of Jo’s design aesthetic. (Will miss their show so much!) But one thing drives me nuts when I see it; no real reader would keep their books turned backwards like that. Sure, it looks nice. But it turns them into a design element that is meaningless because it tells you nothing about the actual people who live there.
Do you know where the bookcase in the living room is from? I would live it firmly husband’s office! Thanks!
