bits and pieces of sofia’s journal

I’m so excited to share with you one of the sweetest bloggers there is. Sofia
was one of the first girls I reached out to when starting my own blog and she’s
quickly become one of my absolute favourites. She has an attitude that is
intoxicatingly positive and if you haven’t already become a fan,
I just know that you will be. Check out her blog, Sofia’s Journal.

And here are some bits and pieces of Sofia:
::A random fact::
I have a lucky streak and it isn’t unusual for me to win things. Spooky!
::Your go-to recipe::
Indian butternut squash curry. This is a favourite of ours
to share on Friday evenings during the winter.
Best served with red wine, a side of naan and good conversation! (No.1)
::You can’t live without::
Only one?! My iPhone, berry red lip gloss, English tea… (No.2)
::Currently coveting::
A pair of pewter Hunter wellington boots to see me through winter.
::Your daily reads::
I wish I had more time to read like I used to! A few blogs that
I never fail to check in with: The Daybook, Lark + Linen,
Daily Garnish, Rockstar Diaries and Young House Love.
::On your playlist::
Rhythm of Love by Plain White T’s
::Your favourite quote::
“Don’t get discouraged. It is often the last key that opens the lock” – unknown.
I love this quote because it reminds me to never give up.
::On your night stand::
A lamp, One Day by David Nicholls, Lemony Flutter by Lush
which I rub over my cuticles every night and a
favourite photo of my boyfriend
::Your favourite designer::
Whistles for stylish basics, NW3 by Hobbs for quirky cardigans and
Mulberry for accessories. I’m also pretty fond of just about everything
stocked at Anthropologie – their bedding is exquisite. (No.4)
::In your wishing well::
A happy, lifelong marriage and a couple of healthy kids.
In another life – a sabbatical living and working in New York.
::Your dream home::
Wooden floors, lots of white, artwork that tells the story of my travels,
floor to ceiling bookcases and fresh flowers in every room.
But, as corny as it sounds I do believe the most important thing
about a home is who you share it with and the memories you create there. (No.3)
::Your happy place::
Holidaying in St Ives, a seaside resort on the Cornish coast which I’ve visited near
enough every year since I was born. I feel most at peace when I’m there. (No.5)
