My Birthday Wish List

I used to be quite the emotional hoarder, but a few years back, I took a turn and had an epiphany about all the stuff I had been clinging onto, managing in some strange way. Suddenly, it hit me that this wasn’t how I wanted to invest my energy any longer. I’ve since become the self proclaimed queen of purging. I’m nowhere near a minimalist now, don’t get me wrong. But as the years pass, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of simply having fewer, but better things.

When it comes to special occasions like birthdays (and pretty much any other event), my husband and I have made a conscious shift towards embracing experiences over tangible gifts. Whether it’s a relaxing spa day, an exciting downtown adventure, or a getaway to someplace new, we’ve discovered that these moments create lasting memories that no material possession can quite match.

That being said, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve dabbled in the world of tangible birthday gift ideas. As my 38th birthday approaches, I thought it might be fun to dip my toes back in and share a glimpse of what’s caught my eye as of late.

Now, I’ll admit that I’m not one to make impulsive purchases these days. Each item I bring into my life really is carefully considered. However, I still love to indulge in some virtual window shopping now and again. You know, just for the sheer fun of it.
