I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I’m a bit of a Christmas fan. I may have started listening to my holiday tunes the moment our last trick or treater departed, and have slowly started decorating every last inch of our home ever since. Needless to say, I’ve been eagerly waiting to share our own holiday home tour with all of you guys, and I’m pretty dang pumped that the day has finally arrived.

If you’ve been reading for any length of time, you may remember our holiday home tour reveal from last year (here!) wherein we focused on all things “classic Christmas”. Red white and green was the name of our game. And while it was admittedly a bit of a departure for me and my all white decor ways, I loved how cozy and traditional everything felt – particularly since it was our first real Christmas in our old Victorian home.
That being said, I thought it’d be fun to do a total 180 this year and really switch things up. I’ve not-so-secretly coined this year’s holiday decor theme as “whimsical woodland” and am also not-so-secretly head over heels in love. From the real cedar garland that wraps up our staircase, to the linen stockings that line our console, everything still feels quite subtle, but unquestionably festive.

Our counters have almost constantly been covered in flour, our Google home is definitely judging my incessant request to “play my Christmas album”, and pine-scented candles have been burning around the clock. The holidays are most definitely here, and I truly couldn’t be more pleased.

And while a lot of the items we brought into our home to bring my vision to life are new, there is one thing that I will never again compromise on, and that’s our tree. It’s filled to the brim with meaningful Christmas ornaments, and it makes me feel super nostalgic every time we decorate it. From the yearly Hallmark ornament my mom gifts me (every. single. year since I was born!), to the ones that Justin and I source out every December to represent something major that happened that year, I truly don’t care how our tree looks, which is so out of character for me. It’s a miss-mash of memories, most of which don’t go together aesthetically, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you have any questions at all let me know! I’ve linked to all of our holiday sources below. And for any furniture or paint questions, please check out the rest of our home tour posts (here!), as I’ve detailed everything in the credits of those posts. We have lots more great Christmas content coming your way, so definitely stay tuned!
