For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to live in a Christmas movie. The twinkly lights, the cozy nights, and the magic have always excited me, and the obsession continues to grow. Year after year, I’ve decked our halls as much as time, and budget, would allow – often leaning more towards a modern take on holiday decor (think: white, grey & green). But when we bought our century-old home in July 2016 (which you can read about here if you’d like), I could immediately picture a classic red and white Christmas spent within its walls – despite the fact that we purchased in the height of summer.
The soaring high ceilings, the traditional mouldings, and the original staircase simply begged to be dressed to the nines for Christmas. So when Bombay reached out about working together on my own holiday home tour I legitimately couldn’t wait to get started.
I quickly got to work, and absolutely no detail was left spared. From our foyer, to our backyard – every last surface has received some Christmas love, and I swear I’ve been prancing around our home like a grinning fool ever since.
While it’s a drastic departure from my holiday decor choices of years’ past, I simply love Bombay’s classic take on Christmas. And truly feel like my Christmas movie wishes have come true.
Our counters have been covered in sugar and flour for weeks on end…
Hot chocolate has been in heavy* consumption…
And I’ve been waking up extra early the last few weeks to start my day snuggling our pup in front of the tree, while the snow gently falls outside. Truly the best way to begin ones’ day.
It’s Christmas nirvana around here, and I’ve never been happier. Here’s a peek at the rest…

Very, very pretty!! Merry Christmas honey!!!
Truly a Christmas movie come to life!! :)
What a beautiful home! I also love to give all nooks and crannys of our home some Christmas love. The only thing missing is the snow, because we don’t get that too much where we live. Just rain! But it’s cozy nonetheless. I love your style!
Love the indoor wreaths! We just decorated with wreaths at our wedding in October and love it as an excuse to get more winter greenery into the house… also loving your jeans and would be awesome to know where they are from. I think we have similar shapes and you always look so comfortable but put-together.
Wonderful photos!

Wow your home is absolutely beautiful! It’s so cozy and festive I love it!
Just beautiful! Question, how do you hang your garland on your staircase? It looks perfect. I didn’t hang mine this year because I had such a hard time last year. Thank you in advance for you expert advice.
My best,
Michelle
