Holiday Gift Guide: Unique Stocking Stuffer ideas

Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers | lark & linen

SHOP THE POST:

It’s been a few years now since Justin and I abolished giving each other gifts each Christmas. Instead, we like to put together really epic stockings, and put the rest of our money towards a trip or experience of some variety that year. It’s kind of the best, and I truly look forward to digging through all of the thoughtful little stocking stuffers he’s picked up for me each year (the man is a great gift giver, I must say!). Needless to say, we take stocking stuffers VERY seriously around here. And so I thought it’d be fun to round up some of my very favourites.

Oh, we do the same thing. Some of our friends think it’s weird. If we need or want something throughout the year, we buy it. So, at Christmas we just do stockings. It takes some of the stress out of Christmas and we still get to buy a few special things. Love your socks with the Pom poms!

    Hi Jacquelyn,
I love reading your posts on Friday!! It gives me the same feeling that I use to get (still get) when I receive a House & Home magazine in the mail. Keep up the great work!!
I as well have made stockings the main event in our home. Our daughter now married is carrying on that tradition with her husband so except for a little bag that Santa left behind (can’t help myself) they are doing each other’s socks and we will take a family vacation in the spring. However, my 27 year old son is still going to receive a sock. Except for nice socks in the sock, etc, I am coming up empty this year. He has received in the past nice bar tool eventials, cashmere toques, nice belts, cologne and items that will last through the years as he is very sentimental. Can you share some items that you have grifted Justin in the past? It would be greatly appreciated!!
I’m feeling the Christmas spirit this year. Everyone will be home and all cottages will be decorated with fresh trees. I can smell wood burning in the fireplaces already!
    Love is Family at Christmas

Wonderful ideas! I love your tradition of focusing on stockings! I’m also interested in what you get for Justin’s stocking… I have trouble with shopping for men’s stockings sometimes!

    • Honestly, I get him a lot of things on here! I really dislike useless gifts (so bad for the environment) so we do a lot of consumables. Haribo candy (his favourite!), nice olive oils or bbq sauces (williams sonoma is expensive, but so delicious and nice to splurge on for special occasions like this!), a nice tuque, things of that nature!
