Scenes from my Week

feeding horses
The weekend Justin and I got engaged, I naturally began day dreaming about our future. The thought of white picket fences, barefoot babies, and a lifetime alongside my very favourite human in the world were aplenty, and just the thought alone was more than enough to satiate me for a while. So instead of jumping the gun to begin planning our physical wedding day, we decided to take some time to soak in that beautiful phase of our lives. And, during that transitional phase we unknowingly graced ourselves with, we quickly realized that the thought of a huge wedding to-do felt daunting, overwhelming, and not at all us. Instead of a lavish weekend in the country, which is what we originally pictured, we’ve decided to host an intimate cocktails and canapés party right here in the city, and the thought couldn’t thrill us more. We booked our venue (and our date!) this week, and have been celebrating ever since. To say we’re excited would be a massive understatement, and I am, now, really looking forward to the planning process – which honestly can’t be said for our original plans. I’m not sure if this sort of thing is something you guys are interested in, but if you are I’d love to share little glimpses here and there into this exciting phase of our lives if there is interest. In the meantime, here’s a quick peek at the rest of my week, in photos.

I’ve had two weddings. To the same man! The first was a tiny intimate ceremony, and the next was a huge blowout with all our friends and family. Both were lovely, but I would take the smaller of the two any day, it was so memorable and special.
    Congrats!
