My love for Emmy Rossum knows no bounds. I’ve had an unapologetic crush on this powerhouse of a woman since I first began watching Shameless in 2012, and said crush was further solidified when this news broke. So, naturally, when she opened the doors to her newly renovated Pied-A-Teardown to ELLE DÉCOR back in October (here), and in the November issue, I couldn’t wait to see it.
While it’s not a huge space (hi, Manhattan living!), it has been exquisitely designed from top to bottom. From her custom kitchen, to her marble bathroom, everything is literal perfection… But the thing that jumped out at me the most is her closet.
The small closet space isn’t one you think you’d typically see hailing from someone with Emmy’s status, and that’s exactly why I adore it. Much like the rest of her pad, it isn’t a huge space, but every nook and cranny of the closet has been thoughtfully designed with a TCS Closet® by The Container Store, with no detail left unthought of. What it lacks in size it makes up for tenfold in style and organization – proof that the old adage “go big or go home” couldn’t be more inaccurate.
We’re at the tail end of our own small closet renovation, and I’m unabashedly using Emmy’s as inspiration for our own. Here’s how I plan on getting the look:

Thank you to The Container Store for partnering with me on this post, and stay tuned for our own closet reno in the coming weeks!

Bookends that clip to the shelf also work well as dividers. Probably cheaper, too.
I’m intrigued by the drawer, and that the sweaters overlap so you can see all of them. So much better than trying to dig through a stack.
I am a big proponent of drawers wherever possible. We’re planning on putting our dishes in drawers when we re-do our kitchen :)
Oh my goodness – I absolutely need those jewelery stackers. My jewels are all over the place! And I also have my mind on a closet organizer for my small hall closet. It’s a mess. Ugh. Thanks for bringing closet inspiration to my world today, Jacquelyn. Looking forward to seeing yours!
If I may interrupt, I highly recommend the Stackers! I was tired of my jewelry collecting dust and getting tangled so I purchased a set of these and haven’t looked back. I’m so happy with them! I also added the wooden top instead of the lid, which I also love, because I find it makes it look more modern.
Ooo I’ll have to look into em’
My pleasure Jordana! I feel you re: mess. WE’ve been living in shambles for monthssss. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!
