Inspiration: Faux Canopy Beds

When I was a little girl, a family friend of ours had the princess bedroom to trump all princess bedrooms. I still remember to this very day the amount of sheer jealousy I had for her and her overly-pink digs. But the portion that made me the most green with envy? Her canopy bed. Clad with the softest fabric in the entire world, it was something I longed for daily. I’ve since grown out of my dreams of princess clad rooms, but my love for canopy beds very much still remains. Though hanging curtains from a ceiling isn’t your traditional method for achieving this dramatic look, I’m kind of loving the modern take on a classic style.
