When Justin and I first moved in together, the challenge became trying to decorate our place all the while combining our drastically different aesthetics. While my taste remains primarily girly (and slightly rustic) his definitely tips towards the more “bachelor pad-esque” feel. If it were up to him we would surely have a reclining lazy boy sofa.
It has been a struggle to complement both of our wants and wishes and we have, no question, made compromises along the way. When I found this apartment, I couldn’t help but feel like the owners have done a perfect job of blending both the masculine and femine elements seamlessly. The combination of blush and black remains classic in my eyes without screaming “a girl totally lives here”. And if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here contemplating whether or not I should paint our bedroom black (think of the glorious sleep that would ensue!)
