Operation make-apartment-suitable-for-a-boy is well under way and I’ve got the fabric to prove it. After spending a lot of the weekend tackling apartment-y things (can I tell you how much I hate moving?) we have more or less settled on our fabric selections. We’ve gone for an organic cotton for our curtains and a mix of textures and colours in a linen fabric for all of our pillows and such. We’re going for the natural feel here, folks. All that’s left is to get em all made (hoorah)! I can’t wait to share it all with you.
After a busy few days last week (both at work and on the home front), I took the Sunday off for some much needed girl time. The ladies and I kidnapped our friend Jess (blindfold and all) and surprised her by taking her to the Scandinavian Spa for her birthday. We spent the day venturing from hot pool to eucalyptus sauna, to cold pool to what I like to refer to it as the nap room. We finished off the day at our friends restaurant, Le Papillon on the Park, where we indulged in more than I’d like to share. It was the perfect ending to an incredible day. What is it about hanging out with a handful of your absolute favourite people that just puts everything back into place? I’m rested and ready to tackle the crazy week that lay ahead.
