Last year, for my brother’s birthday, I put together this concoction of peanut-buttery-chocolatey goodness:

Since I knew that this year I probably couldn’t top the taste factor from last year, I went a different route instead:

Tee hee! Cookie monsters!

I whipped up standard issue vanilla cupcakes, dyed my frosting & some sweetened coconut blue, and used half a cookie for the mouth. The eyes were supposed to be white chocolate dollars with melted chocolate for the pupils, but since I was away for the weekend and all of the stores were closed on Victoria Day monday, I had to improvise. Here you will find mentos gum with chocolate chip pupils! Ha. Thank you corner store for saving my butt.
