We recently took on a mini powder room renovation project at my dad’s place. I should say, my step-mom recently took on a mini powder room renovation project. The woman is a miracle worker! She did it all herself. Flooring, drywall, wallpaper… It always amazes me how much she is capable of, and in such a short period of time.
I did impart a few of my interior design abilities on the project and I thought it would be fun to share it with you. I want to go ahead and say that I cannot take all the credit, I merely selected the wallpaper, gave my two cents about accent colours, tossed around a couple of side-table-like ideas and my step-mom did the rest. I’m extremely happy with the results – she did an incredible job in shanghai!
I believe that the most interesting designs are the ones that break conventional rules. Whoever said that you shouldn’t use a bold graphic pattern in a small space. Do it! Go big or go home my friends. With that in mind, keep the rest of the space subdued and let the wallcovering do the talking.
