I recently acquired a mini lamp that has quickly become the thing our kitchen was missing (peep it here, if you’d like!) I happened to find a pleated silk shade for $3 at a thrift store (score!). It fit perfectly, and it’s absolutely doing the job, but I’m feeling like a patterned lamp shade is what’s missing.
The patterned lamp shade trend is one I’m seeing pop up time and time again. From super traditional spaces to more modern ones alike, it’s such a lovely way to bring in a little more texture, colour, and interest to your home. It’s a little playful, and a whole lot of lovely.
I’ve spent hours hunting for the perfect patterned lamp shade, but haven’t quite landed on *the one* yet. I came very close when I fell in love with a one of a kind Italian silk version. It unfortunately cost significantly more that I wanted to spend. And if I didn’t hesitate, and if it didn’t sell out right from under me, I would have pulled the trigger. It was so darn good. I’ve since found a number of others that I love for various reasons. And though they might not be right for this particular spot, they may be right for you… So I’ve rounded them up below!
Here are a bunch of patterned lamp shades in action, so you can get a better sense of what I mean.

I love the wall lamp & little shade in the Caitlin Fleming bathroom photo above. Would you please share info where to order this wall lamp and shade? I would like to replace my hall lamp with this one!!! Kind thanks,
Annette
If you reach out to Caitlin I’m sure she’ll be able to help you! She’s really lovely!
I wouldn’t have thought of using a patterned lampshade but now I’d definitely consider. Thank you!
