I know that I owe you a serious update regarding our own upcoming renovations (you can read about it here, if you missed it), and I can assure you it’s coming imminently. But before I go there, I wanted to share this beautiful home. It’s designed by the talented folks at Weeth Home, complete with the exact sage green walls I’m considering for our own space.
I’ve decided that I’m tired of all of the grey that’s permeated our walls. I know I want to go light and bright throughout the majority of our main floor, but I’m considering incorporating dusty sage green walls in our dining room juuuust like the cozy little nook above. I keep flip flopping on whether or not I’ll tire of it (much like the grey) or if I should have a little fun in the space. The verdict’s still out, but it feels serendipitous that I stumbled upon this home tour with the exact sage green walls I’m envisioning. It’s clearly making a case for them and has me leaning more towards a “heck yes” than I have been. The rest of the home certainly doesn’t hurt, and I encourage you to take a peek at it all below.

What do you think? Do I take the plunge and go for sage green walls in our dining room, or do I stick to what I know I’ll love for years to come and keep it neutral? I keep reminding myself that it’s just paint and it’s an easy, and cost-effective thing to update down the line. But I also know myself and don’t want to tire of it in a few months from now. I’d love your input!

Well, I think the wall in the room you showed is beautiful . I don’t know how big your dining room is, but, to me all four walls would be very dark. What about just doing one wall and see if your like it. I’m worried that maybe with your other grey walls, it could make the grey look (maybe good), or maybe look muddy. It depends on the shade of grey and it’s undertones, I think. I really like that sage green though! Picking paint colours is the worst!
Thank you for your input! There’s so much to consider for sure
Go for it! I don’t like green as a rule but that green is stunning and timeless. I am glad to see gray go!
It’s practically a neutral, right? Totally timeless
Only paint – go with sage green.
Right??
