In light of full discretion, in honour of Ivy’s first Christmas I had every intention on fully decking our home out from top to bottom and having it photographed to share with you all. But did you know that babies are a lot of work? Spare time is at a premium these days with our busy little nugget requiring just about all of our attention, and at the end of the day I’m left with just enough energy to brush my teeth before collapsing in bed myself. In return, I’ve decided that keeping things simple around here is the name of our game, and I’m actually kind of loving it. If this beautiful home tour, from Studio Mcgee, is any proof, a twinkling Christmas tree, a few textured pillows, and an evergreen wreath or two is secretly kind of perfect.

Where is the couch from? Its perfect
I love the decor in your home, especially all the beautiful greenery! When my kids were younger, they always wanted to put up so many Christmas decorations, but now that most of them are moved out of the house, I’m going to take it easier this year and decorate minimally. I think it will make decorating a less overwhelming task. My favorite part of decorating during the holiday season is getting all of myupholstery cleaned, fluffing up the holiday pillows on the couch, and taking a nap after all of the decorating is complete!
