While I adore being an interior designer (I’m actually missing it a lot more than I anticipated since heading out on mat leave), in another life I’ve always loved the idea of owning a bed and breakfast. Not only does it combine my love for travel, good food, and beautiful design, but ensuring that people’s vacations feel a little extra special sounds like it’s right up my alley. I admittedly don’t for-see my bed and breakfast dreams coming true in this lifetime (though you never know!), but if they did they’d definitely look a little something like this…

Jacquelyn, The concrete floor in what looks to be a great room, is intriguing to me. Is the floor finished to look like this? We have a large size master bedroom redo coming up, the carpet will go (good riddance) and under the carpet? Concrete. For the indefinite future, we will list the suite on Airbnb, so a finished concrete floor seems to be a practical option. Your thoughts?
You would be an awesome Airbnb host btw.
Thank you!
So lovely! Anything similar closer to home in Ontario?
This interior is so amazing but for me it lacks of colors. It is a bit raw, severe and I kind of like this climate..But what about adding some flowers to it? I love fresh-cut flowers..They add some character to every room and makes it more cosy. Last week I cut mine asters which look like this https://gardenseedsmarket.com/peony-aster-jadwiga-tall-growing-pale-pink-variety.html and I put them in a vase. They last till now, they are so resistant and my rook is flourishing together with them!
I keep coming back to this post because this home is so soothing to the eye. Everything about it is thoughtful and serene. So happy you shared this with us.
This is truly a charming bed & breakfast. The interior is so attracting. The choice of colours is so amazing. Thank you for sharing.
