Designing a warm modern family home in Toronto is always about striking that delicate balance; spaces that feel beautiful, of course, but also deeply lived-in and ready to be used and loved. This Lawrence Park project was exactly that. From the very beginning, the vision for this home was rooted in creating something enduring, layered, and quietly inviting.
Designed for a young, ambitious family, this 3,000-square-foot home was completely reimagined to better support modern life. We reworked the layout entirely to improve flow, layering in custom millwork, tailored built-ins, and a kitchen that feels equal parts refined and resilient. The goal was always to strike a thoughtful balance: classic architectural details paired with a fresh, livable sensibility.
Throughout the process, we leaned heavily on natural materials, muted tones, and a blend of traditional and contemporary pieces to create a home that feels quietly collected. Every decision, down to the cabinetry profiles and lighting selections, was made with cohesion in mind. There truly isn’t a square inch we didn’t touch.
And while there are so many details to uncover, one of the loveliest parts of this project is how open our clients have been. They’re more than happy to share their sources, so please don’t hesitate to ask if something catches your eye. I’ll be diving deeper into each space in the coming weeks, but for now, take a peek at the full reveal below. It feels so good to finally share this one!
