I recently read an article that stated that when you incorporate ivory into your decor, it instantly adds a luxuriousness that no other colour can match. It’s not something that I ever noticed before, but the more I’ve sat with it, the more I’ve realized it to be true. Take this winter-white home tour, for example. It’s primarily black and grey colour scheme is lovely on its own, but the little touches of ivory and sandy beige located throughout instantly add a luxe factor, delivering it to next-level status. It’s a trick I’m going to start replicating in my own design projects, no question. In the meantime, let’s take a moment of silence for this incredibly beautiful, Sydney based home.

I so love mixing white and ivory throughout my home. I bought an ivory soft chenille like couch and popped a sheepskin piece on it along with a few white and soft blue pillows in faux and velvet. It is so cozy.
In my Chicago greystone, I painted all walls ivory with high gloss white trim and it was gorgeous.
Great call out and reminder to keep it soft and luxurious! Love your blog. My favourite!
Thank you for the sweet words – it means a lot! Your home sounds incredibly lovely
Love this! Are the links broken in the shop section? I’m dying to know where those dining room chairs came from! Thanks!
Hey Emily! Yes I’m so sorry – I’m having issues with my links lately. I’m working towards fixing it! In the meantime, you can find the chairs here: http://rstyle.me/iA-n/csm27vfk3w_
