Because Design is in the Details

pillows

SHOP THE POST:

So apparently I was fretting for no reason because, somehow, we are in incredible shape for next week’s One Room Challenge reveal. In fact – and I hope I don’t jinx anything by admitting this – but we’re actually, somehow, ahead of the game. So much so that Heidi is heading over today to shoot everything in all of its glory (woohoo!)

But before I share the whole shebang, I thought I’d give you all a closer look at some of the finishing touches. I always say that design is in the details, and that couldn’t be more true than in this particular space.

Between the addition of the sumptuous toss cushions (from Annie Selke), the glorious, perfectly tailored curtains (from Tonic Living), and the incredible art (all from Minted), I really and truly couldn’t be more pleased. While we spent last weekend assembling all of our furniture – which was exciting in its own right – it wasn’t until these finishing touches were in place that the space really and truly felt complete. Those layers are always instrumental in making your house feel more like a home, and I thought it’d be nice to give them their own little moment to shine before we zoom out and focus on the big picture. Here’s a quick sneak peek at all of the goodness we have going on ’round here.
