I’m thrilled to have Sarah from Note to Self here today sharing a few little tidbits with us. I’m sure that many of you have visited her wonderful space, but if you have yet to do so I urge you to rectify this immediately. I just know that you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Her posts are the definition of eye candy and I constantly find myself getting lost amongst her pages. The girl has an eye for pretty, a way with words, and a refreshing way of executing her ideas. Here are some bits and pieces of Sarah…
::A random fact::
I am freakishly well-versed in the rules and strategy of baseball. You can quiz me.
::Your go-to recipe::
I blogged about one of my favorites this past week: Peach and Gorgonzola Pizza – it’s so quick, unexpected and completely tasty. I usually add handful of arugula to top it off.
::You can’t live without::
Bobby pins. They’re falling out of my pockets, bag or wallet at all times, but I always reach a point in the day where I need a couple to get my hair out of the way! (No.1)
::Currently coveting::
These Loeffler Randall heels – the perfect not-so-high heel for a tall girl like me. (No.2)
::Your daily reads::
I follow so many wonderful blogs, it’s hard to keep track sometimes. But a few of my all-time favorites are: A Lovely Being, Gadabout and Atlantic-Pacific.
::On your playlist::
I’ve been listening to a lot of quiet things lately as I work on my graduate thesis. Current favorites are Peter Bradley Adams, Sia, The Weepies, and Matt Nathanson.
::Your favourite quote::
Because it fits the blogger/designer philosophy quite nicely: “Instructions for living a life: pay attention, be astonished, tell about it.” – Mary Oliver
::On your night stand::
My iPad, a good book, and usually the latest catalog/magazine to come in the mail.
::Your favourite designer::
I couldn’t pick a favorite, but I’ve recently been in love with everything Diane Von Furstenburg has put out – especially her shirt dresses. I’m a sucker for an easy one-piece spring outfit.
::In your wishing well::
A visit to South America. My inner history nerd has been dying to see Machu Picchu! (No.3)
::Your dream home::
A mid-city mix of modern and traditional, much like the look of this NYC townhouse. As for details, I have always wanted a window seat, wood floors, French doors, and a small vegetable garden. (I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to the subject.) Dream big, right? (No.4)
::Your happy place::
A summery but breezy view of the sunset, a glass of wine in hand, a comfy sweatshirt to wear, and good friends to laugh with. :)
