{red and white for Canada Day}
I’m now of the firm belief that we should always have Wednesdays off. The mid-week Canada Day holiday seemed silly at first, but it proved to be a great exercise in taking back that elusive work-life balance thing. I wasn’t originally going to take the day off as my to-do list feels like it’s never-ending, but a girlfriend of mine convinced me to head out with her on an impromptu adventure and I’m so glad that I did. We caught up on picnic blankets in Trinity Bellwoods, we grabbed a quick bite at Furlough, and enjoyed our own version of Canada Day fireworks in the form of “Magic Mike XXL”. All in all, a wonderful week, and I’m pretty tickled that we’re now faced with another two days off. Enjoy the weekend, and a very happy 4th of July to the folks just south of me!
