How I’m Getting Beach Vacation Ready

Currently Coveting: A Beach Day | lark & linenI’m currently sitting in the shade in my yard sipping on an iced cold mango sparkling water (spiked with a homemade vanilla-rhubarb simple syrup – recommend), listening to the wind gently rustling through the trees, and feeling wildly grateful for all of the above. Summer is officially here and it is exactly what my soul has been craving.

We have a family beach vacation coming up in the not too distant future, and at just over two years old my daughter is at such a fun age right now – I can’t wait to really show her what a Canadian summer really has to offer. Spoiler alert: it’s glorious. And it’s why we put up with our brutal winters, after all.

Though it’s been getting progressively lovelier around here for a little while now, today marks the first official day of summer, and to celebrate I thought I’d share what’s in my virtual “beach vacation ready” shopping carts. From striped umbrellas to miniature coolers, this is how you do it (as far as I’m concerned).
