We asked one of my dear friends, who happens to be a very talented cocktail maker, to come up with two signature cocktails that we could serve at our wedding that fully embodied Justin and I. And you guys? She delivered (and then some!) The best part is that she originally delivered three different options for each of us, and then hosted all of our friends for an evening of cocktail tasting. Which was arguably my most favourite part of the whole wedding planning process. Needless to say, the following two won by a landslide, and I’m continuously touched by how perfectly she captured our essences in cocktail format. I’m sharing both recipes below, if you’re interested in trying. Alternatively, you could always pop by here for a taste – we’re planning on keeping all ingredients on hand forever and always, because it’s pretty damn cool to have a cocktail of your very own (and they instantly take us back to our wedding day <3).
2oz bourbon
1oz cold-pressed coffee
1/4oz maples syrup
2 dashes of orange bitters
Garnished with a lemon wheel
No. 1: Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
No. 2: Pour into a lowball glass, over ice.
No. 3: Garnish with a lemon wheel
2oz St. Germain
3oz Champagne
3oz Club Soda
Lavender sprig, for garnish
No. 1: Pour St. Germain in bottom of champagne flute.
No. 2: Top with a dry champagne or prosecco.
No. 3: Finish with club soda and a sprig of lavender.
