It’s about this time each year that I find myself on the hunt for a total wardrobe overhaul. While I’ll never deny my love for a chunky knit sweater (the cozy factor is absolutely real), I’m more than ready to tuck those bad boys away in exchange for lighter, easier, breezier pieces.
Much like my design sensibilities, my wardrobe approach tends to hold the same sentiment. I’m drawn to completely classic, totally timeless pieces that all have just the slightest hint of unexpectedness. Whether it’s a leopard print lining in a classic structured trench, or a ruffled hemline on an otherwise simple knit, Halsbrook, a recent find of mine, has it in spades. Following are a few key pieces I’m currently dying to make my own. I feel confident that every last item on this list will be one of those workhorse pieces that I’ll reach for in and around this time each year for decades to come.

I have noticed quite a lot of fitted-top, full-skirted dresses in shop windows lately. They are a wonderful idea–the top is tailored enough to look businessy and neat, while the full skirt is cool, doesn’t ride up when one sits down (an issue when the weather gets warmer and bare legs meet hot seats) and non-restricting.
As always, you are bang on!
Love everything <3
I may or may not have done a little damage after putting this list together…
You have the beauty of old Hollywood stars. Love your smile =)
Well aren’t you the sweetest EVER
That neck scarf is the perfect spring accessory!
