The Perfect Holiday Drink

salted caramel white russians
Every year during the month of November, Justin and I like to embark on something we call #healthyfortheholidays. Essentially what it means is that we’re forced to hunker down and have NO FUN AT ALL! In other words, we cut out sugar, fried foods, and alcohol in any and every form. It helps us get back on track after Halloween, and curb our cravings during the holiday months to come. This will be year three of this endeavour, and it’s proven to be incredibly effective thus far. Come December, my sugar cravings are essentially gone, and it allows me to say yes to only the holiday cookies and festive cocktails that are really and truly worthwhile. And this salted caramel white russian? It’s the most delectable bevvy I’ve yet to try, and I’d say yes to it ten times over if given the chance. It will most definitely be our signature cocktail come December, and is worth every last calorie and then some – I promise.

  4. 3 oz. Irish Cream
  5. 3 oz. Amaretto
  6. 3 oz. whole milk
Instructions
  1. Using a teaspon, drizzle the salted caramel on the inside of the glass, turning it as you drizzle to get a nice swirl effect.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, add a few ice cubes and all of your ingredients. Shake well, for longer than you think, until well incorporated and the cocktail shaker is freezing to the touch.
