At the risk of totally jinxing myself (*furiously knocks on wood*), I have to admit that so far I’ve absolutely struck gold when it comes to all of my clients. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop – I mean, I’m no stranger to the odd nightmare client… but it’s been over a year since I launched my own business, and I haven’t yet worked with a single soul that I wouldn’t happily befriend. And my newest project? Well, it’s of no exception.
Coined as #LLprojectAugusta on Instagram, it’s not a huge project by any means, but what it lacks in size it makes up tenfold in style. This boyfriend-girlfriend duo are as sweet as can be, and have enlisted my help in pulling their living room together, while giving their open concept kitchen a little love while we’re at it. With their walls freshly painted (in a shade I serendipitously love), an exposed brick fireplace, and 100 year old crown mouldings that would make you weep, it’s been bit of a dream since the onset. There was really only one stipulation: I must keep the couch. Luckily, it’s a simple white leather love seat, an easy piece to work with. Following is where we began, as far as plans and designs go:
{blush chairs, beautiful textures, the slightest hint of gold}
{simple, casual, yet totally luxurious touches}
{playing with patterns}
{open shelving in the kitchen}
Once all of the final furniture has been delivered and installed (we’re looking at mid-January), I’ll be sure to have it all photographed to show you guys – I mean, it just wouldn’t be right to keep this beauty to myself.
