Okay so for this quick design tip, we’re going to be chatting all about the age-old question: “how high do you hang curtains?” It felt fitting, especially given yesterday’s post!
I actually feel like this one has been tackled a lot, so I apologize if this information is redundant, but I’m still seeing curtains hung incorrectly and it’s such an easy fix, so I thought I’d do my part to help spread the word. Essentially, it’s quite simple! You want to hang them as high as possible, and you want your curtain rod to be hung so that it extends 8-12″ outside of your window casing on both sides. This trick will give even the smallest window the illusion of grandeur. Whether the curtain fabric itself puddle at the ground for a more casual look, or they’re perfectly hemmed so they simply graze the floor for a more tailored vibe is entirely up to you.
