Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

Don’t be surprised if you see an abundance of strawberry recipes on the blog over the next few weeks as I can’t seem to stop craving them in all forms. Now that strawberry season is upon us, they have become my go-to snack, and have even replaced dessert on several occasions. Though I’ve been making strawberry smoothies since I can remember, I thought it’d be fun to kick it up a notch with just a touch of cream cheese – transforming my go-to smoothie into a cheesecake one. The additional ingredient gives this recipe just a little bite, and pairs perfectly with your back porch after a long day at work.

::what you’ll need::
.½ cup fresh (or frozen) strawberries*
.2 tbsp. vanilla yogurt (I used greek yogurt!)
.1 tbsp. cream cheese
.¼ cup ice cubes
.1 tsp. vanilla sugar** (though if your strawberries are in season this is totally unnecessary, and regular white sugar will also do!)

::what you’ll do::
.Blend all ingredients in a blender
.Serve and enjoy!*

*if you use frozen strawberries you can omit the ice cubes
**I always toss my discarded vanilla bean pods into my sugar bowl which results in vanilla flavoured sugar with no actual effort.

bonus points if you rim your glass with graham cracker crumbs
